Crop an image without changing its meaning
Protect the important content at the edges.
Prepare
Inspect the full-resolution source before cropping. Identify faces, labels, and context that must remain visible. Choose a crop that guides attention while preserving those details; do not cut away a qualification or a second subject that changes the scene.
Work through the decision
Preview at the final aspect ratio. A portrait frame may need a new composition rather than an enlarged wide crop. Avoid stretching the image to fill the frame because that changes proportions.
Review the result
Check the exported scene for softness and motion boundaries. If a subtle pan reveals an empty edge or removes a key label, reduce the movement or use a different image.
